DC Group Mentoring [May 24] | Washington, DC Photography Instructor

Next up today? DC!

This was my third official group mentor session but the first in my own city and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of ladies to work with!

The weather was perfect and we had such a good time! I think the more I do these, the more comfortable I’m becoming as well, so that just makes for a day that flows very nicely! Connie traveled up from Richmond to join us for the session and her bubbly personality was a very welcome addition to the group!

I love the small size of these sessions because it really allows us to get to know one another and enables me to provide assistance individually. These ladies walked away with more confidence in their photography and the skills to bring to life what THEY want instead of just taking with the camera gives them :)

Here are a few behind the scenes shots along with headshots for each attendee!

“I loved the mentor session! It was so refreshing and eye opening. It was like the glue I needed to bring all the various pieces of photography together so that it made sense. I also learned some awesome techniques that I just really never quite thought about. Danielle explained everything so well it sounded simplistic! She was very real and personable which made a huge impact to me. I was not shocked at her level of organization or professionalism because her work spoke for her before I ever met her, so I expected nothing less, but got so much more! I loved networking with other photographers of other levels as well. That’s a great way to connect and continue to learn from others. They will forever be my photography comrades as we develop and enhance our skills so that we all can bring smiles to the lives we touch one click at a time.”

“I wanted to take the next step and really put myself out there with my photography business. My goals for the session included building on my knowledge of natural light photography, client interaction, location scouting, editing, and overall business practices. Danielle exceeded my expectations and gave her all in sharing her experiences and tips with us. The class never felt rushed and I definitely felt comfortable with asking Danielle any question that popped up in my mind. Her instruction was concise and to the point. This was a great class and would recommend to anyone looking to take their photography to the next level.”

“I was a bit nervous, but Danielle and the other mentees put me at ease instantly. Danielle’s materials were thorough and presented well. She answered all of my questions and shared an abundance of valuable information. The investment was well worth it!”

“Danielle is so awesome. She takes her time to hear your needs and address your concerns thoroughly. I love how she made sure we were fully grasping the techniques, which by the way made photo taking so simple! Seriously, if you don’t learn anything from these sessions, it’s your fault.

It was such a treat working with Danni as she made it a relaxed, and extremely comfortable environment. If you’re weighing your options, go ahead and throw the others put of the window. DFinney is the way to go. What are you waiting for??”
