The Weekend in Photos | Instagram Goodies

Good morning and Happy Monday guys!

Things have been a little quiet on Facebook and the blog for the past few days while I finished up a couple projects and took on some new ones, so I just wanted to pop in and say hello :)

I will have lots of goodies for you on the blog this week… most notably: the Neon + Neutral Wedding Editorial I shot last month! I planned to share it last week but time got away from me :/ So this week it is!

In the meantime, I will leave you with a few shots of my weekend :) I had a great styled senior shoot with Cindy on Saturday and attended the beautiful wedding of my friend Glenda on Sunday. I hope you enjoyed your weekend as well! If not, no worries… let’s make it a good week :)

June Photo A Day Project: Complete!

Last month I participated in Fat Mum Slim’s ongoing photo a day project. As I mentioned in my mid-month post, she’s been doing these every month since the beginning of the year! I kept up really well this month- wayy better than I did back in February lol… that is until the last few days of the month :/ I got pretty busy and ended up taking the last few photos on the same day lol.

I was contemplating continuing on with July then I realized that is probably not a good idea… this month is going to be the epitome of busy! Anyway, here are my photos for the June Photo A Day Project!

I didn’t link the photos like I did in the last post, so if you’re interested in seeing the photos bigger, look for me on instagram: @dfinneyphoto  :)

June Photo A Day Project!

In between client sessions and everyday life, I like to do a photo project every now and then. This month I’m participating in Fat Mum Slim’s ongoing photo project. She’s been doing these every month since the beginning of the year! I did it for February since it was a short month with a combination of my phone + my real camera, but this month I’m challenging myself to stick with it using just my phone + ipad. Having instagram makes it a bit more interesting so I’m enjoying it way more this time around :)

Here are my photos so far this month (you can click on each to make it bigger). Follow me on instagram: @dfinneyphoto for the photo each day!

Goodies!

Since rebranding in April, it has given me an excuse to get a few new things :)

I’m so excited about my new etsy items! Check out my lovely camera strap from See Lori Sew and custom flyer holder from BitsOHoney Designs!

And my super awesome new custom ipad skin from gelaskins.com!

I think I may be going overboard with the stripes lol… but I love it! :D

Till next time!

Life Happenings: April

So much has happened since the beginning of this month and I’m finally getting a chance to sit down and take a breather.

April began with a lovely mother daughter photo session on the 1st with the winner of the Free Mini Session giveaway I did back in February… Their session was absolutely beautiful and a great reminder of why everyone should have photos with those that they love.

It was a very bittersweet session since my grandmother (my mom’s mom) passed earlier that same morning. That week was spent getting everything together for the funeral and completing her memorial programs. I wanted to do them since I’d done the memorial programs when my other grandma passed a few years ago… that was one sleep deprived week for everyone as we worked to get everything together, but the programs and her service turned out beautifully.

The next week (last week) was spent playing catch up and I ended the week with two great photo sessions. Friday’s session was with the wonderful folks at Scott Orthodontics!

And Saturday’s session was with the gorgeous Michelle!

I am so in love with the photos from her session :) You’ll definitely be seeing a full post for her session within the coming weeks.

Overall April has definitely been an eventful month, but we’re making it day by day. I definitely want to thank everyone who expressed their condolences, prayed, sent a card, left a kind word, and came by to visit. We really appreciate it and look forward to seeing her again :)
