My Love Affair with Live Music | Music Monday

Happy Monday loves!

So before I post details about the Fall Minis, I wanted to share something new with you guys! A brand new blog feature- Music Monday! (clearly I like alliteration lol).

I got the idea from a comment on my instagram last week where I shared a new artist that I’d been listening to and a few folks loved her! So… Since music is very important to me, I figured I’d share more of that part of my life with you guys :)

I absolutely love music. All different genres… and I can’t tell you how much I love LIVE music. I’ve been going to live shows ever since I was little because my dad is a bass player and I have fond memories of going to see him perform at different restaurants and events :) So maybe that’s where this all stems from? Lol either way… I started attending live shows myself when I got older and had my own money to buy tickets lol.

I remember my very first concert was in 2007 I believe? I saw Jill Scott with my sister and we were in the 5th row! Now I already loved Jill Scott but after that show? <3 My love for that woman knew no bounds lol.

Well that got the ball rolling, and in the years since… I’ve been to see all of these wonderful artists:

I used to be able to say “so and so” was the best live performer, but honestly after going to so many great shows, I can’t even begin to quantify the experience of each. I simply appreciate the awesomeness of each and remember it fondly :)

So this concludes my very first Music Monday! I plan to make this a monthly feature so let me know what you thought and if you’ll be checking it out in the months to come :)

Fall Mini deets are up next!

I have been knowing this beautiful lady for quite some time and since becoming a photographer, we have teamed up on various projects over the years and brought to life fabulosity in the process :) She’s also one of my personal go-to stylists- especially last year when I was on a quest to experiment with as many styles as possible before cutting my hair lol

I grew up around very beautiful, fun, fashionable people. My grandma always kept her hair styled and dressed very nicely and I was always trying to do her hair lol. I remember when i was about 4 or 5, while we were supposed to be taking a nap, I put Vaseline all over her hair, face and the mirror near her bed. She woke up burning up hot and was laughing while I had Vaseline all over my face with comb in my hand! Lol

I knew from as far back as kindergarten that i wanted to make others happy, feel beautiful, and that I wanted to be a hairstylist.

I loove color and big flirty hair!

What keeps you motivated?
The creation around me inspires me every day. I love seeing the smiles on my clients’ faces and the whipping of their hair as they leave the salon :) I love to know that I made you feel like you are the bomb.com! Lol

Where can we find you online?
instagram. facebook. twitter

I hope you enjoyed getting to know Anastasia a little better! She is definitely one of my favorite hair stylists and I’m even happier to call her a friend :) Check her out on social media via the links above and reach out to her via email (visuallychic@gmail.com) if you’d like to have your tresses blessed by her hands ;)

Wondering if it’s worth it? Don’t take my word for it, take Sarah’s… and Sara’s lol.

“I was so surprised that the workshop was so easy. That ease was all due to how well Danielle was able to teach. Her hands on approach as well, was very helpful because she gave you space and artistic freedom, but checked in constantly one on one with everyone to make sure they were getting the shots they wanted. I’ve already seen difference in my photography so I’d say the workshop for me was a complete success!”
-Sarah Johnson

“From the very beginning of the workshop with Danielle, I felt a kind of warmth and welcoming feeling when she introduced herself and gave me a hug. She really personified the entire course and left a lot of room for questions and comments. I loved the presentation; Danielle was extremely knowledgeable about the mechanics and concepts of natural light photography and I felt very comfortable sharing my work with her and experiencing her insightful mentorship while critiquing my work. I was very pleased with the result of the workshop, especially the photoshop editing tutorial, as I have never properly used photoshop before. Danielle really knows what she is doing and she should definitely continue these workshops!”
-Sara Malas

Well Sara I took your words to heart and I’m back at it lol. Please don’t hesitate in deciding whether or not you’d like to attend because these seats are going to move fast. I will always keep the workshops small because I want to make sure everyone gets the attention that they need. So if you’re ready to register, you can do so here! [link deactivated] because this workshop is being gifted! Enter for your chance to win HERE!

I look forward to working with you and helping you see just how easy it can be shooting with natural light!!
