DFinney Photgraphy on Essence Magazine!

So I’m a few days late on posting this here, so if you’ve been following on facebook and instagram then you already know :)

Thursday of last week, my photos from the Koils by Nature event (Natural is Not a Fad) were featured on the front page of Essence Online!!

And if you clicked through, you could view the entire gallery of photos:

All 53 of them! It’s still there (just not listed on the front page anymore :) You can check out the gallery HERE.

My credit line is listed incorrectly (there’s no “s” on the end of Design) but I’m willing to forgive that since my work is on Essence!! lol

On a not completely unrelated note, I also wanted to remind anyone who came by the DFinney Photography table at the event to take advantage of the special mini session offer listed on the back of the flyers!

It’s an exclusive offer so anyone interested will need to have the offer code to enter on the booking site :)

Breast Cancer Awareness October Specials

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and DFinney Photography is participating in a big way this year!

Just as a reminder, mini sessions available year round for previous clients only but from time to time, they are available to the general public for a very limited time- like now! :) We will be offering special mini sessions on October 27th and 28th (5 slots each day) and 10% of each session booked will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure! 

FAQ
What does my session fee cover?
This special offer includes the following:
*20 minute photo session for up to 4 people
*Custom editing of the best 10 photos as chosen by the photographer
*Private ordering gallery
*1 complimentary 5x7 print
*Print requirement has been waived for this special

Is a CD included?
No. Your session fee pays only for the time and talent of your photographer, your ordering gallery, and your complimentary print. A disc of your images is available for purchase.

Am I required to order prints?
No. The print requirement for this special has been waived so there is no required purchase of prints. If no prints are ordered, the only photo you will receive will be the complimentary 5x7. The ordering gallery is live for 30 days and any photos not ordered will be removed to make room for new clients. 

Prints vs. Digital Files
High-resolution digital files are available for purchase in addition to prints and products such as photo books or mini wallet albums. Digital files are perfect if you plan to make cards and would like your family’s photo on them. Once ordering $200 worth of prints and/or products, you will receive a complimentary downloadable watermarked gallery of your full session- perfect for sharing with family and friends! This is not mandatory, simply a thank you :)

It’s a special month-long event hosted by Faithful Grace Photography. If you are currently fighting or are a survivor or breast cancer, please get in touch with me! As a participating business, we are donating our time and talent to those affected by breast cancer :) There are a limited number of slots available for this as well due to other obligations this month, but I will try to take care of as many of you as possible!

Stacy | Washington, DC Creative Lifestyle Photographer

Last month I had the privilege of working with Stacy- she has a beautiful personality matched equally by her beautiful smile :) She wanted a fun photo shoot to celebrate turning 43 and her session was a blast! We had fun incorporating different things that are important to her (she’s a die hard Ravens fan! lol), her loving husband, and we were also able to include a special tribute to her mom who recently passed. 

Prior to the session, Stacy mentioned that she was very critical of herself in photos but I assured her everything would be fine :) And in the end, she LOVED her photos!

I love doing sessions like these because this is what it’s all about for me- helping my clients look and feel good :)

Tequila Sunrise Pt 2 | Washington, DC Fashion & Editorial Photographer

So this took me a bit longer than expected lol… When I tell you last month was busy, it was BUSY! Now that I have a few spare moments (literally) I finally got the chance to finish up the editing on this awesome shoot! This was a fun project my favorite stylist Bianca and I worked together on and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Here is Part 1 if you missed it :)

Jasmine | Washington, DC Creative Lifestyle Photographer

Now that my month has slowed down a tad, I can catch up on all my awesome sessions from last month (before it gets busy again) lol! First up is Jasmine :)
