I Love These Folks | Bowie, MD Family & Child Photographer

About a month ago (sheesh, it’s been that long already?!) I got my sisters together because I wanted up-to-date photos of my nieces & nephew! I was so happy we finally got together- the kids were cooperative, the weather was nice, and it was a great day for pictures… except for the fact that we are generally a late family lol. By the time we got out to the field, we had about an hour of daylight left, but we made it work!

June Photo A Day Project!

In between client sessions and everyday life, I like to do a photo project every now and then. This month I’m participating in Fat Mum Slim’s ongoing photo project. She’s been doing these every month since the beginning of the year! I did it for February since it was a short month with a combination of my phone + my real camera, but this month I’m challenging myself to stick with it using just my phone + ipad. Having instagram makes it a bit more interesting so I’m enjoying it way more this time around :)

Brent & Unique | Alexandria, VA Engagement Photographer

I met with Brent & Unique on a beautiful Sunday evening about a week ago… I was so excited to finally take their engagement photos! We had to reschedule about a month ago due to sickness, and we couldn’t have picked a better day to shoot! The light was gorgeous and their love shined bright :)

Just 39 days and counting until their big day… and I’m looking forward to photographing their beautiful summer wedding!

Then and Now | Washington, DC Maternity & Family Photographer

In honor of the now infamous “Throwback Thursday” on instagram, I think I’m going to do a variation of that with a “Then and Now” series every so often :)

Two years ago, back in June of 2010, we were awaiting the arrival of my new niece Jordan!

Fast forward a couple years and here is Jordan now! Just shy of turning 2, she is a big ball of personality!

I recently took these updated photos of my sisters and their families a few weeks ago and their full set will be on the blog next week :)

Day In The Life: April 25, 1953 | Washington, DC Fashion Photographer

About a month ago I had the privilege of working with an awesome team to help bring this idea to life! I’d been thinking of doing a shoot like this for a while… I started back in October when I did my first vintage styled shoot and I’ve been in love ever since! I plan to do a full vintage series so look for a few more installments in the future :)

This time around, I had a slightly different team: Monica was our lovely model, hair was cared for by Anastasia of VisuallyChic, makeup by Larissa of HAUS of LV, and styling was cared for by myself along with Shannon of House of JAT- the second dress is a custom design from her boutique!

I had a blast working with these ladies! Hopefully we’ll get to work on a few more projects together. Anyway I am going to stop rambling let these images speak for themselves :)
