Tanashia | Washington, DC Natural Light Photography Mentor

Happy Thursday you guys! Can you believe how many new sessions have been posted this week? I didn’t realize I had so many! Continuing right along today, I have a couple mentor sessions to share with you.

First up is Tanashia! After chatting via email for a few months, we got together back in March for her mentor session. Tanashia actually came down from NYC JUST for this so I definitely wanted to make sure it was worth her while :)

She had a good understanding of camera settings and the basics so we built on that. I shared my method of shooting, suggestions for getting her business going, along with a few tips and tricks along the way… We had a great time!

After her mini session, we met up with our lovely models Lily & Alex! These two were so sweet! And I think deserve their very own post so I’ll only post a few here :) Stay tuned for their full session!

Natalie | Washington, DC Headshot Photographer

Next up for today is another business promo session- this time with Natalie!

Natalie reached out back in March in need of new images for her personal brand as she transitions into life coaching. Fun fact: She found me by googling “DC Lifestyle Photography”. I was so excited about that fact alone that I decided to google it and see where I fell in the lineup… to my surprise: guess who was the number one search result?!! I couldn’t believe it!

Anyway, back to her session lol. Natalie mentioned in her initial email that she felt instantly connected to my style and images after viewing the blog and I loved that! It is an amazing feeling to know that your work connects with others. The day of Natalie’s session came and I was in awe- the home where we took the photos was absolutely beautiful (as you’ll see :) Stephanie and I had a great time spending the afternoon with Natalie and her photos turned out beautifully! An accurate reflection of her warm and bubbly personality :)

Tonya | Washington, DC Lifestyle Photographer

Next up for today is Tonya! Tonya got in touch with me back in January for a fun photo session while she was in the area and before her next deployment to Guam.

I get asked often what my favorite type of sessions are… and “just because” sessions definitely rank high on that list. I love when a client wants to treat themselves to a photo session not just to mark a special occasion or event, but just because they deserve it!

We had such a great time during her session and her photos prove it :)

As promised on Facebook yesterday, all this week I will be posting sessions that never made it to the blog… Lots of new stuff coming your way! Well technically “old” but new to you since you’ve never seen it lol.

First up, are a few headshots I did back in January for STUDIOS Architecture. This was my 4th time working with them and each time it’s always a true pleasure. They have such a beautiful space and a lovely staff! This time around I took updated headshots for the entire staff in the DC office.

Spring DC Mini Session Special | Recap

Good Tuesday morning to you! I hope your day is off to a positive start despite the rain :/ And if it’s not, maybe it will be after you take a look at these lovely smiling faces :)

This past Saturday we shot our Springtime in the City DC Mini Sessions and the weather couldn’t have picked a better day to be gorgeous! Definitely looking forward to this lovely weather sticking around.
