I am so excited to share these beautiful family photos with you! But before I jump in let me give you a little background :) A few years ago Devin & Vanita had adorable twin girls:

Fast forward to today and they are now a lovely family of five with a little sister! We got together for updated family photos a couple weeks ago and the resulting photos are nothing short of breathtaking! Take a look at Devin & Vanita’s beautiful family :)

After a quick outfit and location change… this next set of images are some of my favorite family photos to date! I knew I wanted to take photos of the girls playing with bubbles but I absolutely loved Vanita’s idea for the tutus!

HU Graduate Jessica | Washington, DC Senior Photographer

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking Jessica’s graduation photos! She is a 2012 graduate of the Howard University School of Business and is as smart as she is beautiful :) I’ve known Jessica for a number of years so I was very happy to document this important milestone and I look forward to working with her family again in the future!

For The Love Of Spring | Washington, DC Fashion Photographer

About a month ago I had the privilege of working with a beautiful model by the name of Michelle… Every time I passed this field near my house, I would envision taking photos of a model with a long flowy dress, twirling around, picking flowers, just enjoying life… Michelle’s bright and bubbly personality was just perfect for this shoot! She brought that vision completely to life and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her :) Makeup was done by the always fabulous Stephanie!

KISS Magazine Editorials: Bohemian Gem & Scarlet Enigma

So way back when I did my January Recap, I promised to do a full post on the editorial I shot for KISS Magazine… forgetful me is just now remembering that I never did it :/ Well I am now!

This was my first time doing anything for anyone other than myself so it was pretty exciting! I was asked by Andrew Thomas Clifton (KISS Mag’s creative director) to design and execute a shoot for the KISS Magazine… I had soo many ideas but settled on the themes “Bohemian Gem” and “Scarlet Enigma” then assembled the perfect team to bring it to life: Wardrobe by Bianca Cerise & Tara Hamilton, Hair by Anastasia Arnold, Makeup by Stephanie Patterson, Nails by Celeste Hampton, and Photography by myself along with my assistant Debbie Camara. Only a few photos from the Bohemian Gem set were featured in the spread, so here is the full set!

Whew! That was a lot of photos! But I love them all :) A HUGE thanks goes out to my amazing team on this project! I couldn’t have done it without you talented ladies! Hopefully I’ll be able to shoot more magazine editorials in the future :)

April Recap

These past few weeks have been busyyy! With what you ask? Well I’ll show you :)

I arranged a few editorials to shoot this past month and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! They are still in queue for completion and as soon as they are, I will most definitely share the full sets here… In the meantime, here are a few sneak peeks!

First up, a fun & flirty spring editorial with Michelle :) with makeup by the always fabulous Stephanie!

The following week I did a black & white abstract shoot with Erica- quite the multi-talented model as she took care of her hair, makeup, and did an awesome job modeling!

And last, but certainly not least, I shot an awesome vintage editorial with Monica! I worked with the fabulous Anastasia of VisuallyChic Salon as well as Larissa of Haus of LV for the makeup.

The styling for each of the shoots was done by yours truly :) I can’t wait to share the full sets from each of these! They will be rolling out within the next 2 weeks.

In the meantime, I just realized I never shared the full editorial I did for KISS Magazine back in January! …I’m going to post that right NOW!
